Friday night, John decided to clean up the scrap wood from the shed and
burn a pile of brush I had made from clearing the drive way back.

Carlie was so excited when she looked out the window and saw John had the fire going.
She started jumping around and clapping then ran and got her camp chair and dragged it over by
the door saying, “Ready? Ready?”

I took her out and told her she could stay out there with
Daddy as long as she stayed in her chair.

Later on when John had cleaned up everything he brought out his chair
and Carlie moved over to sit in it instead of her little one.

It was a little too near the fire and she kept covering her
face with her mittens until I moved her back.

Then John came out and read her Bible story before it was time for her to go in to bed.

I have made so many hats for Carlie and Donny had out grown his hats, so I made him one.

Sunday evening we were over at Harvey’s house for supper and Carlie and Anna started
rehearsing their first duet. It’s never too soon to start.

But, like most two year old’s, they began a struggle over who was to push one certain key.
Of all 88 keys they both wanted the very highest note.

Here is a little sample. April, what do you think? Ready for lessons?
