Little River Harmony   |   August 15, 2016

This weekend Solid Rock Baptist Church took a trip to the mountains in Northern Alabama, with the intent to give the children a little fun and spiritual encouragement before school began on Monday. We rented a cabin and spent the days swimming, hiking, playing games, and having Bible time. The Lord blessed with a safe trip and no big problems on the long drive or during the time together.

This is how we were all feeling after five hours in the van driving on the winding roads through the mountains.

We lit the fireplace on the back porch a few nights for s’mores. It was never cool there but there were a few nights you could feel a hint of chill in the air.

Carlie doesn’t often nap in my arms anymore and I sat and held her as long as I could. Donny came over and wanted to help pat her back. After I had laid her down, I came back and found her with a Cheeto sticking out of her mouth. Donny was sharing his snack with her.
