En Route to the Grand Canyon   |   October 22, 2016

The drive from Lone Rock Beach to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon held some spectacular views. You drive down in to the canyon and what seemed like a hundred miles down a plane above the Colorado River crossing the river at Marble Canyon on the Navajo Bridge. Once across the river the road turns back down the plane and cuts into the canyon wall climbing to the rim of the Grand Canyon.

Once you start heading out of the canyon to the rim of the Grand Canyon beautiful pines and aspen appear. They were a welcome change from the desert and rock we had seen the previous weeks.

What a cool trip! We are studying canyons and badlands in homeschool Social Studies. Do you have room for 7 more on your adventure? We could call it an educational field trip!
    In our dreams,
