We spent a day exploring Goosenecks. It’s not far from Valley of the Gods so we arrived early the previous day making it our longest stay in one place on this trip.

I decided that I would try to climb down to the river. It’s deceptively far away and I only made it about a third of the way down the cliff before I came to a shear fifty foot drop that was totally impassable on the path I had chosen.

Even though I was only a third of the way down Nessa looked like a tiny speck at the top of the cliff.

On the way back up I found a small cleft in the cliff that was made for a selfie.
