Lone Rock Beach   |   October 22, 2016

We stayed at Lone Rock Beach for a day going in to Page, Arizona to update the blog at the library and escape the heat of the day. We liked Page. It was a nice new town with a good feel to it.

The ‘Lone Rock’ rose out of Lake Powell, a man-made lake on the Colorado River. It’s just across the Arizona boarder in to Utah. I’m guessing it’s about a hundred miles upstream from the Grand Canyon and another hundred upstream from the Hoover Dam.

While not worthy of so many pictures, the ‘Lone Rock’ is the main attraction of the campground so apologies ahead of time.

The lake was created from the Glen Canyon Dam, an impressive piece of architecture in it’s own right.
