This is the last post of the Grand Canyon – I promise! We’ve been back home for about two weeks now and I’ve spent many an hour going through hundreds and hundreds of photos we took at the canyon. I realized too late that we took too many pictures. I was messing around with taking different exposures of the same shot and ended up having three differently exposed photos for every shot.
We spent four days at the canyon leaving a day earlier than planned to have more time when we arrived home. The Grand Canyon’s a beautiful place but not as easily viewed and photographed as some of the other places we had camped around Utah and Arizona. At the previous campgrounds we were right there in the middle of the view with wide open spaces in all directions.
We drove 3905 miles round trip. It took setting up and taking down the tent 11 times. The cost was $1077.43 for all items immediately consumed. This includes all gas, campground stays, and food for the three weeks we were away.
My little Carlie was a bit nervous about the wind whipping up the face of the canyon and blasting the lookout. It could almost knock you over. The wind was whipping pretty much the entire time we were at the canyon. The incessant wind was a bit tiring.
