For the last five Thanksgivings I had spent in Florida we went to John’s Aunt Pam and Uncle Jerry’s farm for Thanksgiving dinner and a day with friends and family. Since all their children were planning to be out of town this year, they decided to travel this year rather than host the dinner. So, we had thanksgiving at John’s parents house this year. All the family was together for the day. This doesn’t happen as much these days, with Steve and Emily living in Georgia and all the nieces and nephews getting busy with school. It was a very warm thanksgiving day and nice weather for playing outside and grew just cool enough in the evening to have a little fire in Dad’s fire pit.
Thank you, Mom for all your hard work hosting the dinner even though you had to work the day before and after Thanksgiving.
The usual games around the Bryan household.
Abby’s second thanksgiving but her first where she enjoyed trying all the different food. She has just begun walking and had fun slowly trudging around getting into things.
Grandma’s doll house is always a big attraction when we visit.
This is not as easy as it looks.
John can sleep anywhere. Donny fell asleep first and then John and they slept through so much noise and commotion.
Aunt Becky had a special thanksgiving craft for the children to do. Thanks, Becky, the children really enjoyed it and it kept them busy and relatively quiet for a bit.
Bethany’s First Thanksgiving.
Danielle made these adorable turkey treats and the children loved them.
Dad Bryan has a tradition of a candy hunt on Thanksgiving afternoon. Of course this is always so exciting and all the grandchildren look forward to it.
I had read so many story books for the children and you can tell by Carlie’s face, I told her I was all done reading stories for the time being.
