The day after Thanksgiving we put up our Christmas tree. Carlie is old enough this year to remember what we do at Christmas time and where we usually put certain decorations. She was so excited to help with the tree she could take a nap, so we let her get up to help.
In the evenings during the Christmas season we have a tradition of putting a puzzle together and cracking pecans. This year we went and picked up ten gallons of pecans just before Thanksgiving and have plenty of work ahead cracking them all out.
There is nothing more magical in childhood than laying under the Christmas tree and looking up at all the lights and decorations.
