Homeward Bound   |   August 10, 2017

We split the return trip into four days, stopping at Union Grove State Park in South Dakota, Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri, and Holly Springs National Forest in Mississippi. It was a long trip, over 1600 miles in all, but breaking it up made it a lot more doable. It may have been some sort of record for us since we were able to take down the tent and set it up every time in the daylight. I think, for us, 450 miles is about the limit for a days worth of driving.

We stopped for ice cream somewhere in South Dakota along the way to our first stop. It was hot and the ice cream was melting faster than we could eat it.

Have you ever tried to drink coffee on a teeter totter? Maybe we could turn this into some kind of new sport.
